அவள் கண்கள் (Her eyes) - Poem

 

அவள் கண்களில்,

பேசும் வார்த்தைகள் அர்த்தத் தேவை இல்லை

பாருக்கும் கண்கள் அவளை எப்பொழுதும் பார்க்க தேவையில்லை

பிடிட்ட  கரங்கள் ஒன்றாக இருக்க தேவையில்லை 

சத்தங்கள் தேவையில்லை, மௌனமும் தேவையியலை,

இந்த உடம்பின் தோல், சதை, எலும்பு, நறும்புகள் எதுவும் தேவையில்லை

இத்தனை தேவை இன்றி இருந்தும் அவளுக்கு தேவை ஒன்றேயெ ஒன்று தான்

நான்,

அவள் அருகேயே அமர்ந்து சிறுது நேரம் 

ஏதானும் செய்ய, காரணமோ இன்றியோ 

அறிந்தோ அறியாமலோ, தெரிந்தோ தெரியாமலோ 

கொஞ்சம் இருந்தாலும் அவளுக்கு சந்தோஷம் 

என் தலைமுடியை கொயும் சிறு கைகள் 

கன்னங்கள் கிள்ளும் சிறு நகங்கள் 

முத்தங்கள் குடுக்கும் சிறு பவள இதழ்கள் 

இதை கொண்டு  எனக்கு எழுதினால் முடிவுரை 

அனால் அவள் கண்கள் எழுத மறுய்தது 

Meaning:

In her eyes

I don't require meaning to all my words i speak

I don't require to see her all the time with my eyes

I don't need hold her hands always 

Neither the sound nor the silence needed

Her bodies skin, flesh, bones and nerves is not required

even when she doesn't need all these she only asks one thing

Me

To sit with her few minutes or seconds

To do something with or without a reason

To do it with an intension or not, knowingly or unknowingly

even a little while is a bliss for her

with her small hands brushing my hair

and those small nails which pinch's my cheeks 

all those coral lips which lay the kisses

with all these she tried to write a conclusion

But her eyes refused to.

Poet's side note:

To be loved romantically is great luck, and it's not easy. It takes a lot of courage. In this poem, I've tried to convey the essence of love from the perspective of someone admiring another. Usually, it's the boys who admire girls. Why shouldn't a girl admire a boy? Even when they do, they don't usually romanticize them to the point of writing poems, like men often do (the poet's personal experience). He, the boy, always gets poems that aren't usually written about the small things he does. I've tried doing something in free verse, and I especially love the eyes in love. So, I hope you enjoy it.
