Life of a Love - Poem

 

I can't reduce this to a poem by Pablo Neruda 

since these are my words, my buddy.

Your reflections on life, love, and pain,

With a message to communicate, expressed in prose.

You talk about God's testing and the unpredictability of life, 

the difficulties we confront and the lessons we gain.

The significance of focusing on the road rather than the goal, 

as well as the necessity to love and forgive to develop and gain.

Your comments ring true since we all endure hardships, 

and it is up to us to decide how we will respond.

To cling to hope and love or to let go and go on,

To live in the present or to pursue a distant horizon.

So speak up and be heard, 

for it is through our words that we can inspire and affect people.

Yet even if we aren't Pablo Neruda or other great brad, 

our words can still have a profound impact.
